It’s usually an organic sedimentary rock that forms from the accumulation of shell, coral, algal, and fecal debris. It’s a very practical and durable stone that can be easily maintained, making it very popular to design and craft worktops and fireplaces. Limestone can be white or almost white, but because of impurities such as clay, sand and organic remains – they can appear in a vast range of colours.
